ok i have an extra 10 gallon tank just sitting around and im about to plant some spinach.

so why not try some aquaponics.

first off what kind of fish would be the best for producing nutrients. im thinking goldfish but i dont realy like them so i want to try some tropicals.ill probably have some corries for cleaning the bottom somewhat.and a pleco.

any suggestions as to how many? i was thinking 2 cories and one small pleco. but what could go in the upper region?

im going to be using a raft system floating on top of the tank and ill definatly have an air pump.

also i need an organic fish food to make the whole thing organic.

if anyone has experience with this please do share:)

Never done it BUT i can say if you want a Waste Producer you cant really beat goldfish they are Nasty MASSIVE waste producing fish. On the tropical side, i would say Mollys to go with the Cory cat and Pleco, Placos are big waste producers just make sure you get ones that stay fairly small like Bristlenose.
