identify this bug and how to get rid of them

My bf came home and found a bunch of bugs on the upper portion of his driftwood that sticks out the water. What are they? How did they get there and how do we get rid of them? The tank is a cycled 7.9 fluval flora with a snail and betta. The snail is new.

They are really fast and jump around.

Going by their behavior, they're probably springtails.
They're harmless.
