30 Gallon South American Tank

Long time lurker, first time poster. Here's a video of my tank.

It's been up for about 3 months, two of which I've been running CO2 from a Fluval 88g kit. The lights are Aquatic Life 36" with 2 T5 bulbs. Prior to running CO2 algae was a constant problem, but since adding it, the tank has become much more manageable.

I'm still looking to add some additional foreground and midground plants, so feel free to offer up suggestions. Also, suggestions on improving the overall aquascape are welcome too. I'm a little limited in how I can lay it out because my fish are destructive, so it's kind of like, wherever the plants can establish themselves without getting dug up, is where they end up.

You could try some Wisteria in the background between the ludwigia and the bacoba. It could soon form a canopy over the surface if left unchecked.
The Sword looks like it is taking off and will soon dominate that right side of the tank.
I don't know about the foreground. Maybe sacrifice it to the Cichlids?

Good thought about giving up the foreground to the fish. Maybe instead I could make more use of the hard scape and find some plants I can attach to rocks and wood. Besides Java fern, anubis and moss what plants can grown attached to rocks or wood?
