Hi everyone well I dunno if someone already asked this question but...

Can I take some of the seachem fertilizer with me in a plane?

the thing is that I have no way of getting these products locally but my aunt will be visiting us here, and she lives in Canada I'm sure that she will be able to get them there but I'm not sure if she will be able to take these on board, can someone tell what would happen if someone notice these products on her bags?

and I'm doing another experiment too, I bought a seachem flourish 250ml exell at amazon, I got the cheapest one that I could and I'm also not sure if the product is going to be allow to pass trough customs.

so any advice or bit of information will be greatly appreciated !

Your aunt lives in Canada and is coming to visit I'm assuming your in the states? Why don't you order them online and have them shipped to you? I can't get ANYTHING localy where I live except what walmart offers and I mail order stuff all the time including the Flourish line of products.

As for being able to get them on a plane? I think TSA here only allows a certain size bottle of liquid so there's that, secondly some of the components that make up fertilizers can be used to make things that go boom. Given the latter of my statement, the way TSA "agents" tend to freak out about somethings I'd say your Aunt would probably end up getting delayed while she tried to explain why she's carrying it on a plane and would probably end up having to surrender it anyway. If she tries to put it in checked baggage and the sensors that sniff for chemical explosive compounds detects some of the components you can use for bombs she'll be questioned as well, She may end up missing her flight because of it either way having to explain why she's carrying fertilizers onto an airplane.

Here is a link from Canada that explains baggage rules. There is a section entitled "Items That Are Completely Banned". In that section fertilizers are listed. It does not specify dry, liquid, type or anything else. So it seems pretty straightforward to me. It cannot be done.

thank you everyone I have just read "Oxidizers and Organic Peroxides: Bleach, nitric acid, fertilizers, swimming pool or spa chemicals, and fiberglass repair kits. " so yeah I think that if they question my Aunt she will probably be delayed and with a huge headache

So being that said I'm just hoping that the carrier that I use to import things from USA is going to be able to pass them trough customs in my country otherwise I'm screw
