How to dose EI?

Sorry if this sounds newbie - indeed I am learning. So I've read through and understand the concepts of EI.

For my aquarium, my dose appears to be :-
10- 20 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/8 tsp KN03 (N) 3x a week
+/- 1/32 tsp KH2P04 (P) 3x a week
+/- 1/32 tsp (2ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

Its the technical terms that elude me.
KN03 (N) appears to be potassium nitrate
KH2P04 (P) appears to be monopotassium phosphate
Trace Elements - what is that?

I mean do I walk into my LFS and say I want to buy a bottle of KNO3 and KH2P04 and some trace elements? Its quite hilarious to ask the sales assistant such a question.. :P

Can someone point me to the commercial names? Are they like Excel Flourish, or something that I could ask my LFS?

Those who are familiar with EI, hopefully you can shed some light in layman's terms. So sorry for the rather silly questions...

Trace elements is Plantex CSM+B.

Those are DRY amounts, not liquid. Here are the rest:

KNO3
KH2PO4
K2SO4

You can also buy them from people on this site, although you are in Asia, so that may not be very convenient.

Where are you located? Specifically.

KNO3 has no commercial name other than KNO3 etc.
That's the point, the dry ag grade chemicals are cheap.

Brand names you pay for water..........with a tiny bit of fertilizer added to them.

Thank you. The greenleafaquariums ships only to US destinations. I'm in Malaysia specifically.

But I managed to find KN03 potassium nitrate from a local botanical store.
KH2P04 and K2S04 is available on ebay, but I will need to check if the local botanical shop also carries that.

Thanks very much for pointing those items out.

I have one more question about the dosage. When it says a dosage of 1/32 tsp (2ml), how is it possible to measure 1/32 of a teaspoonful?

Many thanks.

You can get tiny spoons like http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-3080-Stainless-Measuring-smidgen/dp/B0009X1P9S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406956137&sr=8-1&keywords=dash+teaspoon (a "smidgen" is 1/32 tsp), or you can premix them with water in large batches and dose liquid amounts that are easier to measure. You can mix all of the macro ferts (KNO3, KH2PO4, and K2SO4) together in their proper ratios in a single solution, but you have to mix the Plantex CSM+B (micros) in their own water solution.

I make liquid mixes.

Do you happen to have a link as to how much you are supposed to mix/ liquid and how much you dose of the liquid? Im in the same range as the OP with a 12 gallon tank and wanted to have everything mixed as liquids.
