AquaBid Issues

This isn't about any seller or anything, I know that's against the rules...

But my internet has a ping rate of 14ms and I have a download rate of 45mbps... That's mega fast. However, every time I try to access AquaBid I always run into slowness. I just tried to buy something and the website timed out after about 4 minutes. In the meantime I'm streaming video, chatting on Facebook and posting this.

It's definitely their server and it's been like this forever, do other people have issues? Or is it just some weird issue between my area of the world and their server?

I've had issues too. Its pretty irritating. Theres been times I've waited 10 minutes for it to load a page with like 5 listings on it.

At least it isn't a super competitive bidding site like eBay. Auctions would drive me nuts.

The one time I actually find something I really really want, I click buy it now and it times out after 5 minutes of endless spinning. -.-

Have you tried different browsers? I've ran into some small issues with Chrome on a few sites. Switched over to Firefox or even IE and the issues went away. I might have just been lucky though.

I have Google Fiber moving into my area this summer with gigabits of speed but according to this article, they have managed to get fast speeds than Fiber going through copper. But for your issue, +1 for Firefox or another browser. Not a huge fan of IE though, always have issues with IE when building websites.

Not a problem from here. Just did a search of sale for Protomelas and the list came up in under 5 seconds. Glanced at clock and it was there when I looked back. Using IE on U'verse.

It depends. Sometimes it's fast sometimes it takes 30 seconds to load a page, believe just they're servers suck and slow loading is when most of they're traffic is using site.

Later yesterday night it started working fine again, and luckily my buy it now went through before the site went down so I was able to complete my transaction.

Maybe it would work better with IE or Firefox. I remember finding aquabid many many years ago using Netscape so... It is probably built to work with old sites.

I think aquabid really needs an update. I know it is all custom-build so it'd be hard to redo things, but it drives me nuts that I can't find a login page just to login...
