Doesnt remove any nutrients. I use it as well as many others here.

It will remove organic ammonia, nitrItes, and nitrAtes, so you may need to dose nitrAtes. It won't remove ferts, however.

if it removes nitrates, doesn't it remove ferts, considering nitrates are how most people dose N to plants?

I use Purigen but I don't does any nitrates and I have no problem keeping it at 5 ppm. So someone who does does will probably not have trouble keeping it higher if need be.

I was told to use it to get rid of the tannin in my tank but I have not been able to find it anywhere but on line.
