Snails eating plants!!

So I have a 2 gallon tank with my betta named Lucas in there. I have 3 snails in there because I use their babies to feed my Dwarf Puffers in my 10 gallon planted tank.
I thought Luke would enjoy some plants. So I got him some Wisteria and he LOVES it. He loves to swim through it. Loves to rest in it.
But the snails are eating it in CHUNKS...

Is Wisteria just super tasty? Or do snails eat all plants?!

I plan on dividing a 5.5 gallon tank for my bettas and I want to plant it. But are the snails going to eat all the plants!? What are less yummy plants that I can plant in there that the snails aren't going to want to devour??

Birds: Hahn's Macaw (Mia), Parrotlet (Millie), 2 Parakeets (Pixie and Pete)
Dogs: Boston Terrier (Wilbur), Bichon mix (Toby)
Tanks: 20L turtle tank
30 gallon salt water reef
10 gallon planted tank
2 betta tanks (Lucas and Mouth)

Snails don't eat all plants. Not all snails eat plants. What type of snails do you have? Are the snails only eating the parts that look dead?

well, snails have prefernces (there are some theories that this is due to aleopathy):
1. dead plants and dead algae (not all types)
2. algae
3. unhealthy plants
4. healthy plants

provide enough other food, and they wont eat the plants as much (they will still eat it a little). my snail constantly make holes in my crypts' leaves; but do it less after a heavy feeding, or if i add a sick plant to recover.

cabomba is ignored by my snails, as is rotala.

nope.. they're grabbing any and all of the wisteria. The stuff that they climb on has holes in it... they're just munchers
