Fishless Cycling and Ammo-lock

I am doing a fishless cycle on a 32gallon planted tank. My question is, if I am "not that smart" and decided to use a dechlorinator that has ammo-lock, do I need to do a huge water change and start over. I did manage to get my tank to read 5ppm ammonia. But am curious if this is gonna screw anything up down the road.

So do I need to do a huge water change and use Seachem Prime this time. Or can I leave it be and just use the Seachem Prime in the future?

If you used Ammo-Lock, I would just start over. Prime is all I use. I buy it in large jugs.

Mixing chemicals can cause problems in a tank. I also would just start over with Prime.

Ammo-lock is something I personally won't use in a tank for any reason. IMO instead of using one of these products it's much safer, better, and cheaper in the long run to just do a large water change.

Yeah I did a huge water change today. Got as much water out as I could possibly siphon.

I had gotten the declorinator from a friend of mine who didnt have a tank anymore at the time I thought whats the difference. Then I started reading up on the cycling and saw several posts about not using one with ammo lock. So I went and checked the bottle I was using and sure enough it had it. Picked up the Prime from LFS today and got it all changed over.
