which fish? which plants?
you might just have bought vegetarian fish or they may be overzealously eating algae on the plant leaves...

some fish just like to snack on plants...I find my gourami's are the worst plant nibblers...tiger barbs seem uninterested, as do the tetra and paradise fish.

waaaay back when i started keeping plants with my fish, i made the mistake of putting plants in a tank with a red hook silver dollar. he destroyed all of them. the only way to stop it, is to remove the offender. you might have some luck with giving them lettuce every day, but that didn't seem to stop my voracious vegetarian.

Marbled headstander, aka aquatic lawnmower. I went away for the weekend and when I came back he had and ate my sag and val down to about a half of an inch. That was my first and worst fish/plant mess up.
