Lotus bulb

Got this tiger lotus bulb a week ago. It grew this clear sac after a couple days so I washed it off and it came back again. Anyone have advice?

That's normal, bacteria taking care of what was on the bulb. The snails will take care of it in no time.

I had this sadly come in on a bulb I bought from a pt member who also sent me half dead diseased anubias (won't list their name in open forum as its against rules). But the bulb i got eventually was completely covered in mold, never sprouted anything and smelled foul. After two weeks I think, I gave it a squeeze, it was soft.. it was dead so I threw it out.
[photos of first bulb, leaf in 2nd photo is from an anubias]

My 2nd bulb purchase (different seller) came with sprouted plants, originally put in a 7g (dwarf plant) it took over and was moved to my 20g, monster roots and tons of leaves!
[7g before removal]

3rd one I bought (same place as 2nd) for free (from accumulated 'points' from previous purchases) came sick-ly, has some small plants sprouted but started molding and went soft so I pulled the baby plants off and tossed the bulb, they're slow growing without the bulb but still alive.
[no photo love for these]

Due to photobuckets new bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my photos helpful.

Your 7 gallon is exactly what I want my 3.5 gallon to look like. Inspiration.
