Newbie Here :D

Hello and Good day to all. My name is Earl and I'm from the Philippines.

I can't post in the image section so..

I'm gonna post here

I am new to the planted tank... and even newer to the aquascaping side of the planted tanks.

Here's a couple of my tanks. Yep... i suck at taking photos.
(I don't even know the names of my plants.)

Please tell me what you think.

(and if someone is good enough to encircle the plants and name them )

And may the mods move this to the proper forum.

they need a lot of work but you are on the right track!

I don't have much to say but here's what I think. the first one is a bitt messy and not organized. make sure you know what plant you are buying so you know exactly what size, parameters, and light requirements the plant has so you know where to put it in your tank. you need to read up on how to grow these plants as in ferts, lights, substrate, and all the other equipment you need for a tank. for organization first you need to figure out what theme or bio type you want. then get the hard scape you want, then can you think about the plants you want and where you want them. I find it helpful to look at other tanks that inspire you and then draw a picture of what you think you want. just remember, your scape will slowly change in your head into some thing better and better. they all look like they need some algae removal, and a water change.

good luck!

Look really nice. I'm resisting multi tank syndrome right now but it's getting harder every day!

algae removal... that i think is my biggest problem

as i said .. i don't even know the names of those plants...

As for substrate... i use river sand (local) and the china (i think) equivalent of ADA soil that you guys use...

and i use rain water... no ferts... diy co2... and 10000K flourescent lights...

I'll post pics of all my equipment tomorrow.. and you will find them kinda low tech

And im trying to grow HC... which is VERY HARD to plant and grow...
