Silicon sealant turning black

This is the ADA Mini-M 5G tank. The silicon sealant on one of the 4 coroners is turning black slowly. I am not sure it is mold or algae. I try to use Seachem Excel to spot dose on this area daily while turn off water flow. It seems no effect after 3 weeks, and spreading. How can I remove or clean it without emptying the tank.

It is algae. I get that in my tank as well. All you need to do is scrape the corners with an old credit card. Make sure you really get into those seams. A toothbrush works well too.

I did use toothbrush to clean the affected area, but it did not come off. If it is algae, what type of algae it is?
