Malaysian wood

So I have a piece in my tank. It had some BBA on it and I decided to boil it when I was doing a big cleaning. It was a nice dark brown color. After I boiled it, it turned green. Will the green go away and the brown color come back? Or did I just ruin it?

I don't think you ruined it. Every time I boiled driftwood it always changes colors temporarily. Usually it just turns a darker color then gets lighter over time. I've never heard of a piece of driftwood turning green, can you post pictures?

I let it get out of control for h2o2. I am rescaping the entire tank now.

Not at all, take the wood out and pour half a bottle over it and no bba would be left after that.

Well it's gone after the boil. Now I am left with a green piece of wood. Hopefully it go back to brown. Noted for next time though. Thanks

Hope it loses the green color. Not sure what would cause it to turn green like that. Does it look like algae?

That is extremely weird, all of my wood (well one piece) when boiled only turned a light brown/tan color, but nothing out of the shades of brown. Wonder why it turned green..
