I just purchased some Ricca for my 33 gallon tank. Any suggestions as to how to tie this stuff down? I've read fishing line wrapped around several times, but that doesn't even last an hour before its floating away.

TIA

I use cotton sewing thread.... Seems to work fine. You have to wrap it tight...

Yo yo,

You can tie it down to a rock using hairnets.
However, if you have plecos or raphael cats, beware because this can become a fishy death trap.

Check out my aquarium journal. I made some weights out of stainless steel to hold down Riccia.

I have used hairnets in the past but now I use fishing line. If it's floating away, you're not wrapping it right... :P Wrap the line tightly and very close together (5mm) and it won't float away.

Robert
