Check out this sweet deal we scored!

So my girlfriend and I were both off work and decided to go browse several of the LFS in our area. On our way home we decided to check out a petsmart we had never been to before. While looking around we noticed a large 120 gallon tank with stand sitting in the corner of the store and we went to go look at it thinking of how expensive it probably was. Well when we got close there was a pet perks sale on it plus it was 50% off!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! The tank was brand new and never used but the stand had some slight water damage on it from sitting in a water puddle at the store, nothing a little sanding and paint should be able to fix. They sold the 120 gallon tank and stand to us for only $250! Check it out

That's quite the deal! The petsmarts over here rarely offer deals and sales on tanks

It's a good deal but it surely looks small for a 120G.

Judging by the way it fits in that space, I'd say it was meant to be.

I think it's a 120 "tall"

I'm more surprised petsmart carried a tank that size. Largest tank they've ever had in stock was a 75g and they only had one.

Could have been a canceled special order tank. If they felt "stuck"/w it, that may explain the price and that size tank being in the store to begin/w.
A DIY canopy could hide 5-6 brood lamp fixtures/w 26W CFL bulbs in them for high end of low light range. When you price light fixtures, you'll see why I suggested this.

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight line...in the opposite direction...

They were trying to get rid of it because of the small amount of water damage on the bottom of the stand. Its the first time we had seen petsmart carry a tank larger than 75 gallons too.

That's more like a 140g.

My local pet smart carries that and bigger. It must be a small store.

That is a sweet deal. Putting those numbers in an aquarium volume calculator and that is roughly a 144g tank. Most 120g lfs sale are the 48l x 24dx 25h tanks. For $250, I'd say you were in the right place at the right time.
