Betta treatment options please!

Hey guys.
My Betta Fish jumped out of his aquarium yeaterday.
I guess he was out for a while, because when I was not home and my brother thankfully spotted him on the groundband put him back I the aquarium, some of his fins got ripped, and some of his scales stuck to my brother's hands.
How should I treat his ripped fi s, bur more importantly his scaleless fleshy patches.
I am really worried about him.
He barely moves around until I touch him.
Is he going to die?
How do I treat him and make him better?
I gave him so e stress coat to "replenish" the slime coat he probably lost.
I also added a bit of aquarium salt to his 5.5 gallon aquarium.
How can I help him?

Don't touch him. Methylene blue and a vitamin supplement could help. You could add a rid ick type ( malachite green and formalin) too. You should probably figure out why he wanted out to begin with and fix that.

My experience has not been positive with fish recovered from the floor.

Best of luck.

I would not do more than what you have done. A dash of salt and a LITTLE Stress Coat.

Salt helps fish under stress.
Stress Coat helps replace the slime coat.

I would not further stress him with medications. Keep the water clean and reduce the food, if he wants to eat. Otherwise remove the food before it goes bad.

Ditto: Why did he want to leave? Something wrong with the water? Heater malfunction?

Sometimes bettas just jump, but they do usually have a reason. My guess is maybe something startled him?
Are there any plants in the tank?
Do you have a sponge filter or similar?
Last water change size/time?
Water parameters?
Definitely get a good tight lid.
Also consider adding a couple of dry oak leaves to the water. They'll tint it with tannins. Tannins are supposed to help fish heal, and the slight golden tinting should make him happy. The leaching of tannins into the water will be slow and shouldn't bother him, and at worse it will do nothing. Find some dry, fallen oak leaves in a pesticide-free place, wash them off in hot water, and add them. Maybe 4-6 of them... One per gallon is good. Tinted brown water indicates tannins releasing, not anything bad.
