Sand with MTS/cory and rooted plants?

I am thinking about using sand for my new tank and wonder if I can still keep a lawn of foregroung plants if I want to have MTS and/or corys in the tank...will they "dig" out my plants? I am going to use E. tennulus "micro" for the foreground.....

any suggestions? thank you

ITS NEVER ENOUGH!!!

IDK that sand would make a difference or not, but my E. tenellus 'narrow' are fine with my cories (they didnt do so well with loaches though). Mine are planted in Fluorite black, so that is a coarser substrate...

MTS won't dig your plants out in sand, they just don't have that kind of muscle. I am guessing that corries won't either as I have never seen a lot of digging from mine, but I haven't honestly tried corries in my sand tanks. MTS are a great addition to sand tanks though. They help with compacted areas and they seem to like the sand.
