Question about Click N Ship

The price for priority mail just increase. Also, you can get free deliver confirmation online. So, I decide to give click and ship a try. However, I don't trust my neighborhood and mailman. So can I buy postage online, but bring it to the store instead of leaving it on my front door?

Yes. I use it all the time and sometimes I bring the prepaid package right to the clerk at one of the PO desk and politely tell them it is already paid for and leave it with them. You don't have to take a number or wait in line

I arranged for package pick up on two different occasions; one got lost for over a week and the second one was never picked up. It's more convenient to have them pick it up but after those incidents I just take it straight to the PO myself. Most of the time I don't even have to mess around with clerks-I just drop it off into a big receptacle in the lobby.

Yes, print it out on your printer and tape it on well with clear tape then drop it off at the local post. Make sure to use the post office zip with your address (unless you select shipping from a different zip) and you must ship on the day the label has on it for shipping. Some post offices won't take it if the date or zip is wrong.

I use Customs Form Envelope 2976E from USPS to attach the labels I print online. It's a clear envelope with a sticky backside to attach to the packages. Works great, you don't have to mess with tape and it's free!

Thanks for all the replies. I was always insteaded in click n ship, but I feel uncomfortable with leaving the package on my front door. People (or children) in my apartment complex had stolen package from my front door before.
