Cory Catfish and Eco Complete

I have a 20 gallon heavily pkanted tank with Eco Complete.
I know that cory catfish ahould be kept with smoothe substrates do you think Eco Complete is too course for Cory Catfish?
Also, I habe a lot of stemmed plants. Will the Cory Catfish uproot any plants?
THANKS!

I have cory and I use eco complete, It's been 6 month they're all doing fine.
As for uprooting stem place, for bigger stem corys couldn't uproot them even if they try to.
For the smaller stem is where the cory becomes an issue, because i have corys in the tank I can't get my glosso to carpet.

The smoother substrate thing is an old myth. Their natural environment doesn't provide them with a smooth even substrate and they do fine in the wild. Any damage to their barbels is usually caused by poor water conditions.

I've never had a problem with cories uprooting anything, but I also have plenty of open spaces for them to root around in. If you have a dense carpet over most of your tank then they might root through it and rip up the smaller plants.

As long as your substrate isn't shards of glass, you're fine. Keep the water clean and their barbels will be fine.
