how long before anubias flowers?

Hi all,

New member here. I've had an anubias barteri nana plant that has begun to flower. It has sent a stalk out, and for the last 10 days its just been sorta sitting there. When does the stalk open and I can see the flower? Thanks!

yeah, it looks really different than a leaf. It has a bud and the stalk is much longer than the regular leaves!

Forget how long it took, but they do bloom underwater. Both my nana's and a giant anubias have bloomed. Here is a pic of one of my nana's

Hey everyone! I too have a blooming anubias. The bud has been there for about 2 mos...still waiting. It is ok that it hasn't yet. I'm just enjoying the whole experience and my fishies.

oh wow, very cool, I've had my big, nano, petite anubias in my tank for 4 years now, never seen them bloom.. I've just started to use co2 with higher light, maybe it'll start bloom!

My bucephalandra plants do bloom in my tank, which is always cool to see!

My Anubias nana blooms every couple of months. The stalk with the bud takes 2 weeks to stop growing above all the leaves and all the while the flower is slowly opening up. It then opens up fully and the flower itself gets bigger for the next few days.

Here is a shot of the flower from 5 days ago. It has now grown bigger and yellower since.
