I know ive probably posted the most newbish things (embarresing things too) on these forums but I THINK I got it somewhat right. Here is my new tank.

TANK SPECS:
10 Gallon Tank
2 Whisper Power 10s on low
1 Tronic 100 watt heater
20lbs of Eco complete mixed with 10lbs Natural gravel
36 Watt JKS cp lighting
Hagen Natural Plant System CO2 (Getting it tomorrow)

PLANT SPECS:
1 Melon Sword (In the middle back)
2 Bunches of Hydrocotyle leucocephala (back left and right corner)
2 Bunches of Ludwigia repens (bunched on the left front)
1 Bunch of Cabomba caroliniana (front right)

INHABITANTS:
1 Pleco
1 Dwarf Frog
2 Goldfish

(I have a 40 gallon which I am moving the pleco and the goldfish to once I get it up and running. Im going to add in about 3 glowlight tetras, 2 otos, and maybe 2 amano shrimp. If you have any suggestions on what else I can put it, or what you would put in a 10 gallon that would be cool thanks!)

( I could be wrong on some of the plant names. If anyone can give me insight on what exactly the names are that would be great thanks)

PARAMETERS:
Ph- 6.8
Nitrate- 10
Nitrite- 0
Total Hardness- 50

WHAT DO YOU THINK? IM LEARNING SO IT MIGHT NOT BE WHAT EVERY PLANTED TANKER WOULD LIKE BUT ITS JUST MY LEARNING AQUARIUM!

I ALSO forgot to mention that I have java moss on the middle front under the gravel. I dont know how to use this moss so I just put it under the gravel because it kept branching off and getting stuck in the uptake of my filters. Can someone please give me ideas on what to do with the moss. Thanks!

I love Rasboras. They school very tight even in 10gl tank. Tetras are also nice but only looks in a group when in bigger tank. Ottos are excelent for 10gl.

You can start with like 5-6 rasboras and 2 or 3 ottos to start with and maybe can add other fish later on. I think the 1"/gl rules doesn't really apply in densely planted tank. I have 13 fish in my 10gl (1" each) and there is still no ammonia and nitrate only goes up to 3 ppm. Of course I don't want to add anymore cause it won't look nice.

get the java moss out of the gravel and tie it with some cotton thread or fishingline to a stone or a piece of wood.

Don't keep a pleco with goldfish. They like to feed on the slime on the goldfish's bodies at night when they're asleep.

Nobody else has said this yet, so I will... Pretty! I love the rock formations!

And I second the vote for a small school/shoal of about 6 rasboras. And ottos are always good too.

You could also take the java moss and poke it into the gravel near the rocks and it will climb up them.

I understand that the goldfish need to be out of there. I don't know why people post the same response after someone's said it already? I doubt they're gonna die tomorrow after I rescued them from from really poor conditions in a 5 gallon tank for about 5 months. All water parameters are stable and constant. I think they can wait till the 49 is up and running. Lets not be too dramatic shall we!!
