Brita water test = Lower PH

I did a little test to see what other options there are to lower ph. I have a 29 gal tank with Crystal Red Shrimp. The ph requirements are more acidic. So I try to get it to 6.5 if possible. I was curious to see what the ph was after my tap water goes through the Brita Water Filter that I have. Here's what I found:

Tap water- 7.2-7.4
Brita Water Filter <6.0

Although I do NOT recommend using JUST the brita filter. I think using the brita filter mixed with tap water should be able to bring the ph down to the appropriate amount
