help!!!! please advise

well the pressurized co2 went crazy while i was at work and killed all the fish. i have one of the cheap co2 regulators i have to be adjusting bubble rate every single day. the co2 was running for six months with no issues other than having to adjust bubble rate every single day two or three times a day until the day it just went crazy ( when i say crazy is just releasing co2 like if it was an air stone) and kill most of the fish.

do you think the problem relies on the cheap ass regulator it was only 35 bucks.

thanks in advance.

That is why I refuse to ever go cheap on co2 regulators.

My advice...invest in a quality co2 regulator, maybe even a dual stage one,and then wait until your personal shock goes down before buying fish again.

I'm sorry for your loss...if its any consolation, I feel like everyone accidentally gasses fish their first time using co2.

Be sure to gradually bring co2 levels up when first introducing it I've ran 60ppm with tons of flow (fx5 on a heavily planted 40b) but it takes a long time to acclimate your fish to that, I also wouldn't recommend doing that, the amount of light, dosing twice daily, trimming and water changes twice a week is no fun. 1 little thing goes wrong and boom, time to restart the tank, I no longer run co2 and my tank is flourishing.
