Question Run Air if you have CO2?

After I hook up the CO2, should I be running any air into the tank?

You don't need to. Surface agitation will outgas co2, which you are trying to add to the tank. You should have some surface movement, but not any breaking of the surface.

I have air with my co2 tank. I have my air pump on a timer so when the lights and co2 go off the air comes on.

You can certainly do this if you are worried about co2. I've never had any trouble. I just have the co2 come on ~1 hour before the lights and go off ~1 hour before the lights and provide adequate surface movement to help keep O2 levels up. Everyone will find a method that works for them

I was planning on having an automatic CO2 system. I just didn't know if it I needed air or not. I will be adding some more plants once I have the system installed.
