Brand new White Cloud Mountain Minnows 1 has red dots.......

Hey guys!
I got some White Cloud Mountain Minnows today they are still acclimating. I saw that just one of the 6 has these red dots towards the back of his/her body. It look like someone dripped blood on it. He/she is swimming and seems to be fine for now, but what is this stuff?
Is it contagious?
How can I stop it?
Will it kill my fish?
THANKS!

It's super contagious. Don't add these to your main tank. Set up a QT tank right away.

I can't remember what it's called but its a real nasty bactieral infection (pretty sure it's septicemia if I remember right.) that will more then likely take all your wcm if not treated with meds quickly.

YIKES I already put the fish in the main tank but they are the only fish in the tank right now. There are no present symptoms except for the red spots which have faded or look faded because of the lighting. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

It may be viral hemorrhagic septicemia. If so, I don't think there's a cure.

Spots aren't usually septicemia. It is more red streaks. Kind of hard to tell if you just put the fish in the tank and it may not have all of its color back yet. It is also not very contagious.
