Question plants and cycling

Do you have to cycle your tank before you put in plants?

No, plants actually help speed up a cycle/ not make you go through one.

For my lights im running T-5 series double linear strip, 48inch 10,000k. 28watts daylight T5 Fluorescent lamp and 28watts True actinic 03 Blue T5 Fluorescent lamp. Do you think it will be good?

actinic will do nothing for the plants. also whats the total watts? for your lighting.

the wpg (watt per gallon) rule get iffy with bigger tank and different intensity of light

Hello I had a quick question regarding fertilizers for the planted tank. I am using 100% tap is that enough or should I addtionally add supplements like seachem flourish?

Depending on what type of plants you want to grow you will probably either want 1-2 watts per gallon (wpg) or for more high light required plants 3-4 wpg.

i now the rule brakes down as you get to digger tanks like a 75 so i can't really help you but i would say add some more light any way

IMO I'd replace the actinic with a bulb in the 6000k range.

I'm running 2x 54watt actinics and 2x54 watt 10k bulbs (T5HO ) over my 90gal ATM- and I'm about to trade out one of my actinics for a Geisemann 6000k bulb. I just set the tank up this week and the plants on the bottom already look like they're fading. A 75gal isn't quite as tall as a 90gal, but I'm not sure you'll have enough light with only 56 watts total? You may end up needing one more strip... but time will tell.
