OK, new tank up and running.

I've set up my new Seaclear 30 tall with Eclipse 2 top, put a handfull of plants in and a few small native fish from my pond in to help cycle (shhh, don't call PETA).

I plan to use the info from http://www.rexgrigg.com/ I'm waiting on several low light plants to arrive to finish with the plantings.

I'm not sure what these native fish are but they were put in to control mosquitoes. Though they do not look like mosquitoe fish that I've seen. More like a wild female Guppy. They are fast and hardy and live year round in my pond with gold fish and koi.

If someone might be able to help me identify them let me know and I'll post some pics. I could probably ship some for postage since I have hundreds of them.

Thanks,

Gad

My guess would be Gambusia affinis, these are one of the most common livebearers sold as "mosquito fish" and very much resemble your description.

Those in the link look identical to mine. I also have an old book with Heterandria formosa which look close.
