1st low tech - What do you think

Just planted my first low tech yesterday and got the light in today. This one is in my 5 year old daughters bedroom. Trying to pass on my passion to her. 20H, SMS red, 150 bio wheel, 2x14 Coralife T5. Plants from APC. I also ordered 3 small pieces of driftwood from them. Check out the one in the center they sent me covered in moss at no extra charge. Gorgeous. Ordered some other stems from the swap and shop. Should be in the first of next week. Will experiment while filling in the rest of the tank. Livestock will be guppies from one of my 55's (neverending supply) and Panda corys.

Looks like a good start. To be honnest though, it looks pretty well lit for a low tech tank. Maybe it's just the pictures.

We will see. 2x14 T5 gives me 28 watts or 1.4 watts per gallon. Since it it T5's it may be a little higher on the wpg rule then 1.4 but I think it is still in range to be under 2.0 and require no CO2. May dose some excell if needed.

I really like the contrasting color of the java ferns versus the other (slightly) lighter plants, it seems to add depth to the left side of the tank
