Wow. Words fail me ...

I've never heard of this fellow as I've only been really getting interested in planted aquariums for a few months. But how could one fail to recognize art such as this, no matter the medium? Absolutely beautiful; microcosms that inspire and empower. But I rather think that I would have as much chance emulating Rembrandt as producing something one tenth as powerful as these aquatic compositions.

Slinte!
Cindy

xtremeyolks thanks for that link. It was great to see the works in progress and not just the result.

This is the Korean ADA website gallery. http://www.adana.co.kr/e_1.html

Sean

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

Yes. Amano is amazing. Ever since I started looking at his work, I want another tank so that I can do thing completely differently. When I look at his tanks, I feel a combination of serentiy and nostalgia that I can't quite put my finger on.

Sean--that website is incredible. That tank in the lower right hand corner with the blue discus is one of the nicest of it's kind I've ever seen. Thanks for the link.

Amano's work is always so inspiring to me. Never ceases to amaze me. I think he is the the primary individual responsible for the revival in freshwater aquaria and the latest boom in planted tanks.

I just wanted to thank all of you for these spectacular links. I have wated to see Amano's work, but I keep spending all of my money on tank supplies, so I can never afford his books. These links rock.

You know he'll be here in the US at the 2004 AGA convention.
Maybe you'll win the tank he sets up?
