I found a nice piece of wood Id liked to use in my tank a few weeks ago and let it soak in water for about a week, it immediatly sunk...

Then let it boil in water for about a week every day for about an hour

Is this wood now safe to put into the tank would you say or does it more done to it?

Thanks

Sounds like it's safe enough to eat.

It should be good to go, unless it still turns the water tea color,
I found a nice stump very clean not long ago, I soaked for a few days then stuck in my tank, still clouded my water, so I pulled it and boiled it in bleach water for about 15 to 20 hours over the course of a weekend, then I boiled it in salt water for a few hours and dropped it in the tank. clear as a bell and the wood was nearly white when I finished it.

I have a piece of driftwood that I've boiled but it's still "browning up" the tank. Is this a bad thing, or just a cosmetic thing? because I'm rather fond of the piece of wood, and the brownish tinge gives the tank a natural river tannin kind of look.

The tannin staining in just cosmetic, no harm done. Should gradually fade away.
