Hey, no worries! It's a constant learning process. And you've come to the right place for friendly advice. I've only been here a couple weeks and I'm loving it here.

This is one of the ways that a plant can propogate. A plant will send off a shoot to the side which will produce a baby plant. You know when a spider plant has a bunch of baby plants hanging off it? These are runners.

Here is an illustration of a plant with two runners coming from it.

Does this help?

Great way to explain it Amanda Huggenkiss! A picture is worth a thousand words!

"Amanda Huggenkiss? Is there an Amanda Huggenkiss here? Hey everyone, listen up! I need Amanda Huggenkiss!" : Moe Szyslak

A little Simpsons FYI for you Amanda Huggenkiss:

The Moe Szyslak character is based on a man, I believe he was called Red who was a bartender at a place called "The Tube Bar" in Hoboken, NJ. All of those prank calls made to Moe's Tavern were copies of prank phone calls made by a couple of guy to Red. The guys recorded the calls, called the "Tube Bar Tapes". The tapes were released for sale on CD a few years ago.

There is a bar here in Atlanta called the highlander. It's a pretty cool little bar and matt groening used to come into it all the time. He wanted to make a character out of the guy who owned the bar and make him moe's main competition. Was going to have him setup a bar across the street from moe's and take all of his regulars (Barney, homer and the few others.) It never came about but Matt did do an awesome drawing of the bartender and it's hanging behind the bar autographed with the story idea next to it. Got to love the simpsons, and now back to you're regular scheduled thread..
