My guess would be hygrophila corymbosa on the left... nice looking tank Capt... is it yours ?

I was also thinking hygro coymbosa. Not sure if that is right or not.

It's not my tank but I am getting a couple corkscrew vals and the left plant from the person who owns it, that's why they are circled.

It looks like hygrophila salicifolia to me...

Interesting...never heard of that species. It definitely looks to be a hygrophila species.

Buck and Capt. called it--giant hygro (H. corymbosa) on the left, Vallisneria spiralis (but not necessarily the corkscrew mutation) on the right.

On the left either Hygrophilla corymbosa or guanensis. Difference between guanensis and corymbosa is dead easy : if it's fast growing it's corymbosa. If it's a slow grower (only 2"" a month), it's guanensis

I thought Hygrophilla corymbosa had darker colored leaves? :?

There are a lot of different corymbosa species, with different leave lengths and widths, also colour can be brownish up to this colour of green
