Just wanted to drop a thanks to all the people who contribute to The Planted Tank. For the most part I'm a lurker due to the fact I new nothing when I 1st found this place on the net.

Thanks to the information here my tank has finally shaped into something I'm proud of.When people come to my house and see it they are usually blown away at the beauty of a planted tank and always ask me how I do it.The secret is what I learned reading this board. I have had every kind of algae and always eventually found the answer to my problem by reading what others have done to deal with it.Not to mention all the great DIY self ideas I found here. Not only is my tank looking good finally but it was put together for alot cheaper than it would have been if not for this place.

Anyway I think I'll go have a beer and watch some happy guppies.

P.S. I probably cursed myself by saying my tank looks good and will wake up to green water or something.

Agree with both of you. Not only that, people here are very nice, knowledgeable and can have healthy arguments while eating popcorn .

Honestly, my idea of planted tank before was large plant or driftwood in the middle, and stem plants at the back ; and whole bunch of dead plants after a month.

This is where the people you have been lurking from would probably say "POST A PICTURE!" lets see what you have going on!

Sean

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

Amen, it's nice to see a forum where people don't act all childish and actually have some useful information to contribute. I have learned so much from reading this forum that I thought it was neccessary that I gave the $10 subscription rate to help the site continue to be a great resource.

Heck I didn't even know there was a subscription. This is one place I'd be happy to contribute too.

Soon as I get a new camera I'll post a picture of my tank. When I say it looks good though I mean for me it looks good but it's not as nice as some of the tanks posted here that's for sure.

This place does rock. For the last year, I just read all of your stuff without ever posting anything of my own. Then I got a digital camera and I paid the subscription fee so that I could get some feedback on my work. Everyone had awesome suggestions. I just did a major aquascaping and made some purchases based on the advice I got here and I can't wait for all of you to see the before and after photos! I'll post them when the water settles. No one around here gets this, so it's so nice to talk to everyone here.
