I got this random snail with my plants and it freaked me out. It looks like your normal spirally snail, but it had a clear and slightly opaque white shell. It's foot was the same opaque white color with silver speckles in it. Any clue at all what it might be? It has huge too by the way.

Sounds like a typical pond snail... Do you have a picture.

I really wish I did. But of course, I am lacking. All of my other snails are brown with a tan foot. This guy got my all excited. Maybe I'm just paying too much attention to my tank. I think I need another hobby... sorry.

I used to have albino ramshorn snails all the time. Don't know why they always mutated (my radiation, I guess) but some turned transparent, and I liked them because it looks kind of interesting to see all the inner organs, the beating heart (or is it the tongue?). Anyway, I always killed the red/brown ones and left the albinos, and after a while, they were all transparent. Weird...
