Aquabid, is it safe???

Have any of you had much luck with aquabid.com? I'm about ready to start up my 115 gal tank and after it cycles I'll need to stock it. I'm just curious what you all do for good plants for low prices and if aquabid is a safe route.

Thanks

BB

I'd say yes as long as you do your HW first, make sure you know what competitive pricing is on an item and research who you're doing business with (both on the AquaBid feedback and also on this forum). Personal opinion, though, is that you're probably better off and will get a better deal using this forum- you can do a WTB ad.

It's as safe as eBay. Does that answer your question?

I used one dealer from aquabid to stock my tank. l contacted him with some questions, and we ended up making a deal outside of the site. He was great, but I could tell that through conversing emails. Be careful, but there are nice people on there (or at least 1!)

I use aquabid to sell and to buy goods and must say its a pretty safe site as long as you use paypal and bid on auction with sellers that have good feedbacks. Its hard to make everyone happy but I try my best. By the way im gabeszone on aquabid.

Gabe.

Actually, it's not quite as safe as eBay. eBay offers you a little more buyer protection, but not much.

I have had good luck buying fish and plants via Aqubid. Like Ebay you have to be careful and try to stick with seller's with good rep's.
