If you guys can name the plants in the video, that would be awesome.

Technically, it's neither. The description labels them as simulans, which is also known as the green tetra or false neon. Neons are innesi (sp?) and cardinals are axelrodi.

Cool, but it looks like they have a really bad algae problem... JK. I wonder if there are many more of these videos out there. I've always wondered how the fish get from the source to the LFS.

Watch the rest of the videos from that guy. Lots of interesting videos there. The one showing how otocinclus are cought is pretty cool. With one swipe of a net they caught several hundred.

I think they are neons, look at the last few frames you can see them up close, they look exactly like neons...

what are the other tetras? (silver with a black and white spot on the tail?) - I don't know enough about fish ID to take those fuzzy, moving images and make them fit a name I know... and I probably don't know what they are anyway ;P

those are definite not cardinals..
here are cardinals
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzKa7...eature=related

As you can see, they (both cardinals and neons) like to hang out in the thickets. Don't seem like they're the greatest schoolers even in the wild.

Yeah, I was just thinking that... It's a good living though. It's basically free for them to raise.. All they have to do is net those guys.
