Need advice: Boraras brigittae and otto turning white!!!

Hello Everyone,

Well I'm at a total loss of words about this but as of the last few days, I've noticed that a few of my Boraras brigittae were not being as active as usual. Upon closer inspection, a few of them are losing there color and turning a very light pink, almost white. As if that wasn't unsettling enough, out pops one of my ottos, with about half of his body white as well, almost clear! I am just completely devastated. They are still eating but there is a decrease in there appetite.

Now all my water parameters are the same as usual with a ph of 7.4. The tank is a 29g. The only additions to the tank that I have made recently was adding a second Hagen Natural Plant System unit and Excel dosing about twice a week.

Here is a pic of the otto (pardon the blurriness)

Any help, suggestions, or advice will be greatly appreciated as the tank is also housing shrimp and Celestial Pearl Danios whom arent affected as of yet. What can be done and or removed to correct this?

***After readin some info, it may seem that my PH is too high for the Boraras brigittae as they prefer softer water. I hope this inst the case =( ***

pH isn't your problem. 7.4 is perfectly fine for almost all fish, and I'm going to say it isn't hurting yours at all.

What are your other tank parameters?

Disappearing fish is a new one on me

How much excel are you dosing, when you do?
