Bacopa shedding leaves

Just bought some Bacopa last month and...

It grew well right off the bat.

Then, the old leaves died and I was left with just the new ones.

They look kind of awkward as just a stem with leaves.

The new growth seems to be doing fine but has slowed down.

Is this normal???

I have heard of plants shedding their leaves when placed in a new tank. Is this the case???

Everything else in the tank is doing fine. pH is 7.8 at 80 F

look at the leave shape... i bet there diffrent. the narrower ones are the new leaves? if so, i bet it just lost its "above water" leaves... and woudnt be worried. post a pic, so we can double check it.

Bacopa grows like a weed uinder the right conditions, and does not shed leaves, even emersed grown ones. If its losing leaves from the bottom up, thats a sure sign if inadequate light. Your light is not bright enough. How big is the tank, how much light do you have? How long do you leave the lights on? Did the stems ever form roots? Are the stems rotting from the bottom up as well? Another factor is even in a tank with enough light, if the tank is over crowded with plants, light does not reach the lower leaves, If your ph is 7.8 you are not adding any Co2.

The tank is 90 gallon with two 65 watt PCs. 12 hour photoperiod.

I know my light levels are low but everything else is growing like crazy even without CO2.

They are not in the shade either.

The stems are not rotting at all and they do have some root growth about 1 inch above the substrate.

All of the old leaves are gone and the new growth seems to be hanging on but by no means is the plant blossoming.

The Bacopa grew about 2 to 3 inches in two weeks and is now stunted????
