How do you label your submersed plants?

With 21 species/cultivars/whatever you want to call them of Buces I'm at the point where a little sketch isn't cutting it anymore.

I know some of you guys have extensive collections, and was wondering how you label them? My experiment with white electrical tape and a sharpie was a failure. I was thinking of using the wife's little labeling machine, then buying a couple laminating sheets for them all. Then just tie the label to the lava rock along with the plant.

Before I do something silly, who has a better way?

Might not be a better idea, but why not take a picture or 10 of the tank and label / mark-up THAT? IMHO, beats the look of the labels in a tank.

If you keep plants in planters / pots then you can number them and then create a master list on your computer.
