I am fixin to setup my second 100 gallon and I have a question. Should I go ahead and get the plants I want to have or should I just cram it full of stems and let them go nuts. This is a brand new tank and everything I read says mostly to go the route of planting fast growers first and once the tanks is stabilized/established then get what you want. What is everyones opinion on this. The main thing I want to get going plant wise is the foreground. Everything else is fairly easy to replant and move around wherever.

Get fast growers 1st , and get good water movement so the c02 will be spread evenly through out the tank and aslo lots of shrimpies to combat algae

IMO, You can plant the plants you want (I would hold off on the really delicate or difficult ones), but then stuff as much of the the rest of the footprint with the fast growers.

Yea my plan is going to be planting the carpet/foreground and then doing the rest of the tank with fast growing stems. I just think it would be easier trying to plant the little stems of glosso/hc/hm while it is empty.
