Clearance T5 lights

So was lookin around Petco tonight... and they got a bunch of Zoo-Med T5 HO lights on clearance for super cheap.

The 48 inch was 60 bucks, regularly like 130, and the one I'd need the 36 inch one which I think the regular price was like 80 bucks is now 50. Plus the bulbs are all 4 bucks each.

Is that something I should jump on? Or pass it up? Because I've heard mixed things about these particular T5 systems.

Have not had nor heard anything negative about their T5 fixtures but their T8 Flora sun plant bulb grows better than any bulb I've tried. The bulb is rated at 5000K so the level of viewing light is low compared to other bulbs. This no doubt is better in the T5, but to what extent I don't know. This is why I always use two T8 bulbs in my tank(s) in separate fixtures, one at back, one at front of tank. The plants all lean towards the front where the Flora sun bulb is. BTW Zoo Med also makes a T5 single bulb fixture
that you will find in the reptile section(of advertisements on the site) so they may have one of those if you would only want one bulb.
Their bulbs are normally about $18 but then Doctors F&S usually sells them for $10
so replacement cost aren't high either.
Can't beat that particular bulb for plants especially when used in conjuntion/w their Ultra sun bulb(6700K).

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight the opposite direction...

Apparently however you can't use this fixture if you have a glass canopy on your aquarium.
