Eheim 2260 for my 180 . Paid $300 + Media $100. It is an incredible filter!

very happy with:

*eheim filter. quiet and efficient.
*pressurized co2. after about a year i got tired of changing out the diy solution
using a jbj regulator for over a year and so far so good.
*buying dry ferts to make my own solution. can't go wrong with that.

dry ferts are by far the best investment in this hobby.
if only they'd come up with a dry source for carbon

lights and filters don't impress me,
since you get what you pay for.

now if I can only find a 4x2x2' 120g tank on Criagslist
for ~$1/gal, that could be the best investment of all
