Anyone ever use a skylight?

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used a skylight over a tank as a way to supplement lighting. I know that people have used sunlight, but I was just wondering if anybody out there had a tank that was under more or less direct sunlight from a skylight. I suppose you'd have to be concerned about both getting too much and too little light. Would this work better on a large tank? No worries, not setting anything like this up, but I can dream about it

Takashi Amano's huge tank is lit by skylights, I believe. I've never seen it done on smaller aquariums though.

My pond-tank is mainly lit by skylight, the MH only serve as a supplementation when it gets cloudy for too long or for short 2-3hrs of viewing purpose.

However since the skylight is so high, more than 15 feet away and being not so large, I do not get much light. A much shorter skylight would be far stronger supply of light.

This has been done over and over again. Sometimes with the addition of shade net if the light turns out to be too much.
