worm???

today i found a little worm in my tank.it was the thickness of a hair and about half inch long.it swims like a snake and "slithers fast in the water.it is whitish pink in color.any ideas whatr this could be. am i in trouble??

from what i found they appear to be nematodes. has anyone had these.they r very strange i caught it with a cup and it starting to climb out of the water and up the cup.

yestreday i took a worm in a 5 ml test kit tube to work, so i could see how it looked under the microscope,i forgot it at work and today when i looked in the tube , i have 2 worms now.at this rate is it safe to say i have tons of them in my tank. i looked for a long time but couldnt see any.do the fish eat them?
