This looks kinda weird

This is an Echinodorous Barthii but as you can see there are 2 sets of leaves that look completely different..Is this normal for this plant?

completely normal
The longer stems with round leaves are from emersed growth
The new longer leaves are from completely submerged growth.

Nice looking new growth.

In some sword species/ hybrids/ cultivars, the emerse-grown leaves submersed have about the same 'half-life' as the submersed leaves, I've noted. This especially in good (enough) conditions.
