What do I do with this plant?

See picture attachment: anubias nana. What is the sprout coming out of the plant on the right? There are several more coming out of one of the others. Can I cut it off and replant it? Would it grow or would it die?

Thanks!

I added more pictures to help make them easier to see.

Looks like an amazon sword. That stalk will break the surface of the water and produce flowers I believe

Baby plants (plantets) will grow along the stalks. When they are ~5 leaves each with roots showing, cut the stalk, cut the plantets off and replant. You will have a forest of swords in no time .

It was probably sold to you miss IDed then, cuz the pictures that you are referring too look like sword plants. Anubias have much thicker leaves and don't do well with their rhizomes planted below the substrate. Also those look like they are growing out in rosette structure like swords do where anubias shoots new leaves off along its rhizome.

Follow this. It will not grow attached to a rock or driftwood. Needs to be planted in the substrate to thrive

Yes, I agree. It's some type of sword plant, not an anubias.
I've grown both and anubias will only form short flower stalks that bares one flower. Sword plants will produce long stalks that produce several flowers or plantlets.
Anubias can be attached to wood/rocks but swords must be planted in the substrate.

Check it out:

Anubias- https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/my...s_barteri_Nana

Sword- https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/my...nodorus_osiris

Good Luck with them and congrats on the new plantlets!

Just to add, they are not Amazon swords. Mellon sword would be my guess. Check Google for pictures of both types and compare the shapes of the leaves.
