Good plants for discus tanks

I need to know a plant that works well in a discus tank. I was hoping something that won't need any crazy lighting and something that can chew up a lot of nitrates since thats a big issue in discus tanks. Plus obviously it needs to be able to handle the high temps. If its a roote feeder I think that would be best because adding eco substrate is not a big issue.

Except for mosses and Java ferns, I don't have any issues with growing plants in high temperatures in my planted discus tanks. All of my tanks are at 82 minimum, the discus are at ~85. Your lighting will be the real restriction.

Some really easy quick growing stems that will suck nutrients out of your water like crazy are L. Sessiliflora and water sprite or wisteria, most versions of Hygro will work too, although some are considered noxious weeds.

If you want to go rooted, jungle vals and swords are pretty forgiving, so is dwarf sag. How big is your tank? Any interest in a MONSTER sword plant? Its outgrowing my 125. Is just too big and you can't see many of my other plants anymore.

The plural of anecdote is not data
