The things we find in our tanks - Suprises....

Well, I was doing my weekly water changes last night. It's been, I believe, about 3 weeks since I moved all the fish out of my 46 Gallon to my 125 Gallon.

Low and behold, I had a major suprise. As I was looking at the substrate in the 46 Gallon, which I currently thought only had "Shrimp" in it, I find a massive suprise!

At one point prior to moving everyone to the 46 Gallon my Cory Cats bred. And to top that off, at least one of the young lived!

Currently I've only seen one, there may only be one as I mixed up the flourite pretty good after the fish were out and caused a massive dust cloud, but even to see one is a neat thing.

125 Gallon AGA w/ Overflows
Filtration: Ehiem 2026 Filter, Dual "Ghetto" Overflow Internal Filters
Lighting: 1x96W Current USA CF - 2x96W Generic CF
Co2: Pressurized Co2 - Rex Grigg Regulator, SMS 122, and Rex Grigg Reactor.
Plants: Pogostemon yatabeanus, Foxtail, Bacopa, Egeria najas, Anubius, E. 'Ozelot Red', Ranalisma rostrata, Hornwort, Rotala Indica, Ludwigia Repens, Vals, Cabomba, Lilly, MoneyWort

I've had anout the same thing happen to me with cories as well.

Interesting things.... I found a pair of scissors that I "lost" in my tank once. They had been missing for a few months.

I had a similar story with my rainbowfish. I moved a bunch of flamemoss from my main tank into my CRS tank and other tank. The rainbows must have laid eggs on it because a week or so later I found 5 little rainbowfish swimming around. The great thing about a shrimp tank is there is all sorts of little things for them to eat and nothing that will eat them.
