My fish don't seem to like their food

I have 30 Ember Tetras (added over the last months in 3 groups of 10).

I feed them Ken's Premium Tropical Fish Flake, but they are not really super interested. Some might come to the surface and pick up a flake, but most seem to ignore the food. There's definitely no rush to the surface to get fed.

In my past tank experiences I always saw fish rushing to the surface as soon as the first flake started to hit the water.

Is it the food? Is it the fish?

Do you ever feed them any thing else? My fish seem spoiled, they now only want live food and ignore almost all flake or freez dried foods.

Asking what they've been eating is a good idea.

Crushed NLS freshwater flakes with garlic seem to be well liked by my fishes.

I've given them daphnia but their little mouths are too small to eat them. I'm hoping they can survive in the tank, and the fish can eat the newly hatched daphnia.

May just want to give it a day or two and see if a little bit of hunger cures them.

+2 they've been spoiled. Agree to not feed for 4-5 days and than introduce the food you want to feed them. Get them eating that than introduce other foods 1-2 times per week

Talked to the previous owner. He only feeds flake food, so I guess they need to get hungrier. I will not feed them for 2 days and then see if they get more excited.

thank you all!

it could be theyre spoiled. my ember tetras dont like to come to the surface either, a
couple come up and peck but most wont. i take my tweezers and spread the food out in
the water and they go after it. but if theyre hunrgy enough theyll come up and get it.
